Roles
Use Roles to manage people roles for contacts at your accounts (for example Decision Maker, Buyer, or Influencer). These roles describe a person’s job relationship to an account. They are not CallProof login permissions for reps.
From Roles you can also:
- Add a new role
- Edit a role name
- Delete a role
How to open Roles
- Sign in to CallProof as a manager.
- In the left sidebar menu, open the menu item for Roles (label may vary by company setup).
- The Roles list opens.
- This menu item usually appears when your company uses the People / Contacts people features.
Option B — Open Roles directly
- Open your web browser.
- Go to your CallProof website and add
/role/at the end of the address (for example:https://appv2.callproof.com/role/). - Press Enter.
- If you are a manager, the Roles list appears.
- If you are not a manager, CallProof blocks access and sends you away from this setup page.
Option C — From Quick Links
- On the Roles page, click Quick Links.
- Choose a related item such as Company Directory, Import Reps, Export Reps, or Invite Reps when you need related user work.
Permissions
- You must be signed in.
- Only managers can open Roles, add roles, edit roles, and delete roles.

Where Roles are used
After managers create roles, your team uses them on account people records:
- Open an Account / Contact.
- Add or edit a person (contact personnel) linked to that account.
- Choose a Role from the list.
- Save the person.
- The role can appear in people lists, exports, opportunity PDFs, and related account views.
Tips and important notes
- Roles here are for people at accounts, not for rep login access (manager vs rep).
- Keep role names clear and consistent across your company.
- Duplicate role names are not allowed when creating a new role.
- Only managers manage this list.
- If Roles is missing from the menu, ask an administrator to check People / menu settings and your manager status.
- Quick Links on this page focus on Company Directory and rep tools.
