Make a Call

Callproof offers 2 different ways to call contacts from the website. This feature is not available to all users. For more information, please contact Callproof.

Make Call

When searching for contacts there are 2 icons to the right of the contact name used for calling.

The Blue button Icon blue call.gif is used when connecting to clients using a headset and PC.

People → Contacts / Accounts → Click the Green, Blue, or Yellow Call icon next to a phone number.

You can also place calls from:

  • Contact details pages
  • Follow-ups
  • Dashboards
  • Footer Call Pad (Any Number)

Allows users to place outbound calls through Twilio directly from CallProof using one of three calling methods:

After every call, users can record the call result, notes, appointments, and follow-ups.

  • Twilio must be enabled for the company.
  • User must be logged in.
  • A verified Caller ID must be configured.
  • Contact must have at least one phone number.
  • The phone number must not be blocked by company FCC Do Not Call rules.
  • Calling buttons must be enabled for the company.

Available Calling Methods

Call Type Description
Blue Call Places the call directly from your web browser using a headset and microphone.

Icon blue call.gif Blue Call

  1. Click the Blue Call icon.
  2. Allow microphone access.
  3. Confirm the phone number and caller ID.
  4. Click Dial Number.
  5. Use the browser controls to:
    • Mute
    • Dial keypad (DTMF)
    • Hang up
    • Hangup With Message
  6. Submit the Call Result.

Call Any Number

  1. Open the footer Call Pad.
  2. Enter a phone number.
  3. Click the Green, Blue Call button.
  4. Complete the Call Result after the call.

Call Result

After the call, users can record:

  • Call Result
  • Notes
  • Follow-up
  • Appointment information (if enabled)
  • Contact or Account updates (if applicable)

Submitting the Call Result saves the activity to Call History.

Notes

  • Available only for companies with Twilio enabled.
  • Green calls require a default phone number.
  • Calls to blocked FCC Do Not Call numbers are prevented.
  • Recorded Messages can be used with Hangup With Message.
  • Completed calls are available in Call History.

Call with a Headset (Soft Call)

When calling with a headset, there might be a couple steps necessary to ensure the headset is working properly. Please see our troubleshooting tips for help.

After clicking the Icon blue call.gif button for the contact to dial, the initial calling screen will be seen. Click Dial Number when ready to call.

  • If Flash settings haven't been saved, a settings box may pop up. You must allow Flash to access your audio and mic. Click Allow and Remember to save the settings.

During the call, the screen will display your Caller ID, a number pad, and two buttons for hanging up.

  • HANGUP will simply hang up and end the phone call.
  • HANG UP WITH MESSAGE will leave a pre-recorded message that is selected in the dropdown list then hang up. Set up these recorded messages under HOME > Recorded Messages.

When the call is completed, the screen will shows a results page. Select the best answers.

If a follow up is needed, click the Follow up checkbox. Once the results are submitted, the user will be taken to the follow up page to schedule a follow up.

Click Edit Contact to edit contact information once the call results are submitted.
