File:LogoutSignOut.png
Sign out from CallProof
- Sign out of CallProof on the web
- Clear your current session
- Return to the login screen
- (If your company uses Cisco Duo SSO) complete single sign-out with Duo when required
UI labels you may see: Sign out or Logout
Address: /logout/
Result message: Logout Successful
How to log out
Option A — Sidebar Sign out
- Sign in to CallProof.
- Open the left sidebar.
- Click Sign out (door/exit icon).
Option B — Personal Settings
- Open your profile / Personal Settings area in the sidebar.
- Under the support/footer links, click Sign out.
Option C — Menu Logout
- Open the account / settings menu.
- Click Logout (if your menu includes a Logout item that goes to
/logout/).
Option D — Direct address
- While signed in, go to
/logout/. - CallProof ends the session and sends you toward login.
What happens when you log out
| Step | What you notice |
|---|---|
| 1 | A brief loader may appear. |
| 2 | Toast / message: Logout Successful. |
| 3 | Browser local CallProof data used for this session is cleared (for example cached locations). |
| 4 | You are redirected to the home/login experience (usually / or /login/).
|
| 5 (SSO only) | If you signed in with Cisco Duo SSO, CallProof may first send you through Duo logout, then return you to login. |
Permissions
- Anyone who is signed in can log out.
- You do not need manager permission.
- After logout, protected CallProof pages require you to sign in again.
Why logging out matters
| Situation | Why you should sign out |
|---|---|
| Shared or public computer | Prevents the next person from using your account. |
| End of workday | Closes your active web session cleanly. |
| Switching users | Lets another teammate sign in on the same browser. |
| Security concern | Ends the current browser session immediately. |
Typical workflow
- Finish your work in CallProof.
- Click Sign out in the sidebar (or Logout in the menu).
- Wait for Logout Successful.
- Confirm you see the login screen.
- Close the browser if you are on a shared device.
Tips and important notes
- Sign out and Logout both use
/logout/— same action, different menu wording. - Logout ends the web session in this browser. It does not delete your account or company data.
- Mobile app logout is separate from web Sign out.
- If your company uses Duo / SAML SSO, you may briefly leave CallProof for the SSO logout page before returning to login — that is expected.
- Managers may see a Web Logout location/activity marker when location logging is available for your profile.
- If you only close the browser tab without signing out, your session may still be active until it expires — use Sign out on shared devices.
Need help?
- Clicked Sign out but still see CallProof pages: refresh, or go to
/login/and sign in again if needed - Stuck on an SSO/Duo page: complete the Duo logout prompts, or contact your IT admin
- Someone else was using your account: sign out, change your password if required by your company, and tell your manager
