Labels

Screen purpose: Open a popup to view your company’s account labels, search them, and delete labels you no longer need.

How it opens: Popup / modal (via Quick Links → Labels)

Note: This is not a full-page screen. Opening the address alone does not show the Labels UI — use Quick Links.

How to open Labels

Option A — Quick Links on Accounts

1. Sign in to CallProof.
2. Open Accounts (/contacts/).
3. Click Quick Links.
4. Click Labels.
5. The Labels popup opens.

Option B — Quick Links on related screens

1. Open a screen that includes Quick Links → Labels, for example:

• • Companies
  • Account Types
  • Markets
  • Regions
  • Text Messages (when available)
  • CallProof Academy / tutorial videos (when available)

1. Click Quick Links → Labels.

Option C — Close the popup

1. Click the X (Close) in the popup header.
2. Or click outside the modal / use the browser close control if shown.

Permissions

• You must be signed in.
• Labels are company-wide — the list is shared across users in your company.
• Deleting a label removes it from the company list and from accounts that used that label.

What you see

Control	What it does
Select All	Checks or unchecks every label currently listed
Delete	Deletes all checked labels in one step
Search field	Placeholder: Enter a label name to search
Search	Reloads Your Labels using the search text
Your Labels	List of labels with a checkbox and a remove (X) button on each row
Empty state	No labels found when there are no labels (or no search matches)

Why this popup matters

Action	Purpose	When to use it
Search	Find a label quickly in a long list.	Cleaning up campaign or typo labels.
Delete one	Remove a single unused or wrong label.	One-off cleanup.
Select All / Delete	Remove many labels at once.	End of a campaign or list reset.

Steps

1. Open Quick Links → Labels.
2. Type part of the label name.
3. Click Search.
4. Matching labels appear under Your Labels.
5. Clear the box and click Search again to show the full list.

Delete one label

Steps

1. Open Quick Links → Labels.
2. Find the label under Your Labels.
3. Click the X (Remove label) on that row.
4. Success: Label deleted successfully.
5. The list refreshes; the page may reload shortly after.

Good to know

• This deletes the company label, not only a tag on one account.
• Accounts that had this label lose that tag.
• If it was already removed: Label already deleted.

Delete several labels

Steps

1. Open Quick Links → Labels.
2. Check the labels to remove, or click Select All.
3. Click Delete.
4. Success: Labels deleted successfully.
5. If none were checked: Please select at least one label to delete.
6. The page may reload so other screens stay up to date.

What this popup does not do

The Labels popup is for viewing and deleting the company label list.

To create labels or apply them to accounts:

• Accounts → More Actions → Create a Label
• Or open one account and use Labels: on the account profile

To find accounts by label:

• Accounts → filters → Label

Typical workflow

1. Open Quick Links → Labels.
2. Search for outdated or misspelled names.
3. Delete one label with X, or select several and click Delete.
4. Confirm success toast, then continue work on Accounts.

Tips and important notes

• Popup title is Labels.
• Data loads from /contacts/labels/ (optional search text is sent with that request).
• Single delete uses /contacts/delete_label/<id>/; multi-delete uses /contacts/bulk_label_delete/.
• Select All / Delete hide when there are no label rows to show.
• Deleting here is stronger than removing a label chip on one account — the name leaves the company list.
• After delete, a short reload helps keep filters and account chips correct.

Need help?

• Popup shows No labels found: create labels first (More Actions → Create a Label or Account edit), then reopen Labels
• Delete does nothing: check at least one label, or use the row X for a single delete
• Label still appears after delete: wait for the refresh/reload, then open Labels again
• Need to tag accounts (not delete labels): use Create a Label or the account Labels field instead
