Screen title: Account Companies

Browser title: CallProof :: Account Companies

Menu label: Companies (on many Quick Links menus)

Address: /contact_companies/

How this differs from Accounts

Screen Address What it is
Account Companies (this page) /contact_companies/ Company-name list (parent company records) with linked account details and actions
Accounts /contacts/ Full account/contact list and filters
Add Account /contacts/add_new_account/ Create a full account in one flow

Think of Companies as the company name layer, and Accounts as the full account records under those names.

Export Companies

Popup title: Export Companies Address: /contact_companies/export/

Steps

  1. With results on the list, click Export Companies Report (near pagination).
  2. Read the schedule message — the report runs in the background and is emailed to you.
  3. Optionally check Include All Contact Details and Custom Fields.
  4. Create / schedule the export.
  5. Success: A new export has been scheduled successfully (or similar).
  6. When finished, open the emailed file or your Exports page.

If an export is already running

  • CallProof may say an export is already in process — wait until it finishes, then try again.
  • Completed exports can also be opened from Exports.

Typical workflow

  1. Open /contact_companies/.
  2. Filter or search for the company.
  3. Click the name to rename, or Edit to open the account.
  4. Use Add Task / Opportunity / Phone / Contacts as needed.
  5. Optionally add mapped accounts to a route and Save Route.
  6. For bulk reporting, run Export Companies Report.

Tips and important notes

  • Menu often says Companies; the page heading is Account Companies.
  • Company name and Account are related but not identical screens — use Accounts for deeper filters and account-centric work.
  • Add Company creates the company record, then sends you to finish the account.
  • Sales Reps show All, named reps, or None (in red when none).
  • Last Contacted shows a relative time or Never.
  • Calling icons depend on company Twilio / caller settings.
  • Export is emailed and may take time on large lists.

Need help?

  • No account company found: clear filters or add a company / account
  • Add Company succeeded but account incomplete: finish the form at /contacts/new/…
  • Cannot delete: ask a manager or user with delete-contacts permission
  • Map/route grayed out: set latitude/longitude on the account first
  • Export not arriving: check spam, Exports page, and whether another export is still running
  • Other issues: email support@callproof.com
