Places

What is Places?

Places is CallProof’s prospecting tool. It finds businesses near your current location or a chosen address using Google Maps data.

Use it to discover new leads, view business details, save them as CallProof accounts, add them to a route, or start an appointment while you’re in the field.

Using Add to Route from Places

  1. Select a place (or lasso several).
  2. Tap Add to Route.
  3. Confirm success, or read alerts if already added / route is full.
  4. Open Routes to optimise, save, or navigate the stops.

Features include

  • Single add – One place → one route stop.
  • Bulk add (Lasso) – Multiple places → multiple stops.
  • Current Route update – Stops appear in Routes.
  • Duplicate / limit alerts – Warns when already on route or capacity is reached.

What is Call place?

Call place dials the business phone number from Places when a number is available.

How to navigate

Using Call place

  1. Open a place with a phone number.
  2. Tap Call.
  3. If Twilio / CallProof Voice is enabled, the call may use Twilio; otherwise the device dialer can open.
  4. Complete the call.
  5. If no number exists, Call is unavailable for that place.

Features include

  • Call action – Quick dial from list or map.
  • Twilio when enabled – Uses CallProof Voice if configured.
  • Native fallback – Device dialer when Twilio is not available.
  • Number required – Only works when Google/CallProof has a phone number.

What is Appointment from Places?

Appointment from Places starts a check-in / appointment at a prospect location while you are in the field.

Using Appointment from Places

  1. Open a place.
  2. Tap Appointment.
  3. Confirm “Do you want to start an appointment with [place]?”
  4. If an appointment is already active, CallProof asks whether to end it first.
  5. After starting, continue with visit/event-form flows as configured.
  6. End the appointment when the visit is finished.

Features include

  • Start appointment – Begin a visit at the place.
  • Active appointment check – Prompts to end an existing appointment first.
  • Location captured – Uses your coordinates when starting.
  • Event form link – Can attach configured event form data for the visit.
  • Places-specific start – Uses place ID for the appointment record.

More Options are extra actions on a place—such as add to CallProof, event forms, directions, and other contact-style tools when the place is linked.

Using More Options (Places)

  1. Tap a place.
  2. Open More / additional actions.
  3. Choose an option such as:
    • Add to CallProof
    • Event forms
    • Directions
    • Other account/contact tools when the place is already linked
  4. Complete the action and return to Places.

  • Add to CallProof – Save the prospect as an account.
  • Event forms – Submit field forms when available.
  • Directions – Navigate to the business.
  • Contact-style options – Extra tools after the place is linked to CallProof.

Saved Searches

What are Saved Searches?

Saved Searches store Places filter/search settings so you can reuse the same prospecting query later on mobile or web.

How to navigate

Places → Filters / saved search options (also available on CallProof web when configured)

Using Saved Searches

  1. Set your search and filters the way you want.
  2. Save the search with a name (when the save option is available).
  3. Later, open Saved Searches and select it.
  4. Places reloads with those filters applied.
  5. Clear or update saved searches as needed.

  • Save filter set – Keep category, location, radius, and related settings.
  • Reuse later – Fast reload of common prospecting queries.
  • Mobile and web – Saved searches can be used across CallProof when synced.
  • Consistent prospecting – Same targeting for weekly territory work.

Refresh / Load More

What is Refresh / Load More?

Refresh reloads the current Places results. Load More fetches the next page of Google Places results when available.

How to navigate

Places → pull down to refresh Scroll to the end → load more when next page exists

Using Refresh / Load More

  1. Open Places with results showing.
  2. Pull down on the list to refresh.
  3. Scroll to the bottom to load more pages when available.
  4. New places append to the list / map pins.
  5. Adjust search or filters if you need a different set.

Features include

  • Pull to refresh – Reload current search/filter results.
  • Pagination / next page – Uses next-page token when Google returns more.
  • Append results – Additional places added without losing the current list.
  • Works with search + filters – Refresh and paging use your active query.
