Goals

Screen title: Goals Browser title: Goals Address: /funnel/goals/

Use this screen to set and track sales goals for a rep (individual) or a market. Goals can be measured in Dollars (opportunity pipeline value) or Points (activity points).

Goals

From this screen you can:

  • Add a goal for a user or a market
  • Filter goals by type, user/market, and status
  • View progress (Result vs target)
  • View and edit notes
  • Edit an active goal (amount, notes, auto-restart)
  • Cancel a goal
  • Mark a goal complete (managers)

How to open Goals

Option A — From the main menu

  1. Sign in to CallProof.
  2. In the left sidebar, open the Opportunities / Funnel / Goals area (label may vary by company setup).
  3. Choose Goals.

Option B — Open Goals directly

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Go to your CallProof website and add /funnel/goals/ at the end of the address (for example: https://appv2.callproof.com/funnel/goals/).
  3. Press Enter.
  4. The Goals list appears.

Permissions

  • You must be signed in.
  • Signed-in users with access can view goals for users/markets they are allowed to see.
  • Managers can Add Goal, Edit, Cancel, and Mark Complete.
  • Market managers may be blocked from adding goals (manager permission required for Add).
  • Non-managers typically do not see Edit / Cancel / Mark Complete actions.
  • Company menu permissions control whether this screen appears in your sidebar.

What you see on the screen

Header

  • Title: Goals
  • Add Goal button
  • Filter button

Empty state

  • If nothing matches: No goals found

How Result is calculated

  • Dollar goals: Result adds opportunity derived value (value × probability %) for opportunities whose close date falls between the goal’s start and end dates.
    • Individual goal → that rep’s opportunities
    • Market goal → opportunities for users in that market
  • Points goals: Result uses activity / event points earned in the goal period.
  • Not started goals show 0 progress until the goal becomes active.

Why Add, Edit, and Cancel matter

Action Purpose When to use it
Add Goal Create a new Dollar or Points target for a rep or market for a date range, so progress can be tracked on this screen. New quarter/month target, onboarding a rep, or setting a team (market) target.
Edit Goal Change the target amount, notes, or auto-restart for an active goal without cancelling it. Raise/lower the target mid-period, update coaching notes, or turn auto-restart on/off.
Cancel Goal Stop an active goal (sets status to Cancelled). Does not permanently erase history from the list when you filter for cancelled goals. Wrong assignee, wrong dates, duplicate goal, or goal no longer needed.
Mark Complete Manually mark a goal as Completed when the period or target is done. Close out a goal that should show as finished.
Edit Notes Update notes without changing the target amount. Quick coaching comments or status notes.

View Goals

  1. Open Goals (/funnel/goals/).
  2. Review User/Market, Goal amount, End Date, Status, and Result.
  3. Click the notes (eye) icon to read notes.
  4. Use pagination if there are many goals.

Filter Goals

Goals Filter
  1. Click the Filter button.
  2. Choose Goal Type (All / Dollar / Points).
  3. Choose a user, or check Select Markets and choose a market.
  4. Choose Goal Status if needed.
  5. Apply the filter.
  6. The table refreshes with matching goals.
  7. Use Clear to reset and show the default list again.

Add a Goal

Add Goal

Purpose: Assign a new sales target so CallProof can track Result against Amount for a user or market.

Steps

  1. Confirm you are a manager.
  2. Click Add Goal.
  3. In the Add Goal popup:
    • Choose Goal Type (Dollar or Points).
    • Choose Rep Assigned to, or check Select Market to Assign to and choose a market.
    • Enter Amount as a whole number (no decimals).
    • Set Start Date and End Date.
    • (Optional) Enter notes.
    • (Optional) Check Restart Goal when Completed?
  4. Click Add.
  5. The list refreshes with the new goal.

Status after Add

  • Start date in the futureNot started
  • Today is between start and end → Ongoing
  • End date already past → Completed (based on dates at creation)

Rules

  • Amount, dates, and user/market are required.
  • Amount must be a whole number.
  • Start date cannot be after end date.
  • A user or market can have only one active goal at a time (Ongoing or Not started). Cancel or complete the existing one before adding another.

Edit a Goal

Edit Goal

Purpose: Update target amount, notes, or auto-restart while the goal is still active.

Steps

  1. Confirm the goal status is Ongoing or Not started (Edit is disabled for other statuses).
  2. Click the Edit icon.
  3. In Edit Goal, change Amount, Notes, and/or Restart Goal when Completed?
  4. Click Update.
  5. The list refreshes.

Notes

  • Edit does not change the assigned user/market or date range from this popup.
  • To fix the wrong person or dates, Cancel the goal and Add a new one.

Cancel a Goal

Cancel Goal

Purpose: Stop an active goal so it no longer counts as Ongoing / Not started (frees the user or market to receive a new goal).

Steps

  1. Confirm the goal status is Ongoing or Not started.
  2. Click the trash / Cancel Goal icon.
  3. In Cancel Goal Confirmation, confirm you want to cancel.
  4. Click Okay.
  5. Status becomes Cancelled.
  6. Edit and Cancel actions are no longer available for that goal.

Tip: Cancel is not a hard “delete forever” from your company’s goal history — it marks the goal cancelled. Use filter by status if you need to find cancelled goals.

Mark Complete

Mark Complete

Purpose: Manually set a goal’s status to Completed.

Steps

  1. Confirm you are a manager.
  2. Find a goal with status Ongoing, Not completed, or already Completed.
  3. Use the Mark Complete toggle.
  4. If the goal is not already Completed, CallProof sets status to Completed and refreshes the list.
  5. If it is already Completed, the toggle stays checked.

View or edit Notes

Goal notes
  1. Click the notes (eye) icon on a row.
  2. In Edit Goal Notes, read or change the notes.
  3. Click Save.
  4. The list refreshes.

Tips and important notes

  • Use Dollar goals to track pipeline value; use Points goals to track activity.
  • Keep one active goal per rep or market — CallProof blocks a second Ongoing/Not started goal.
  • Result for Dollar goals depends on opportunities with close dates inside the goal window.
  • Amount must be a whole number when adding.
  • Edit and Cancel only work for Ongoing and Not started goals.
  • After Cancel or Complete, add a new goal if you need a fresh target.
  • Restart Goal when Completed? is for automatic restart behavior when a goal finishes (company process may rely on this).
  • Managers manage goals; reps usually view progress on the list.

Need help?

  • No goals found: clear filters, or add the first goal
  • Cannot add goal: confirm you are a manager (not only a market manager)
  • “Goal already exists”: cancel or complete the active goal for that user/market first
  • Invalid amount: enter a whole number only
  • Invalid dates: ensure start is on or before end
  • Edit/Cancel greyed out: goal is Completed, Cancelled, or Not completed — add a new goal instead
