New companies often start with defaults such as:

  • Left Message With Operator
  • Followup Request
  • Set Appointment
  • Proposal Requested
  • Not A Prospect
  • Closed Deal
  • Wrong Number
  • Not Interested

Why Call Results matter

Action Purpose When to use it
Add Create a clear outcome label for reps. New process or coaching language.
Edit Rename a label without rebuilding history workflows. Fix typos or update wording.
Delete Soft-remove labels you no longer want in pick lists. Cleanup (managers).
Use on calls Capture what happened after each softcall. End of every Web call.

  2. Change the Name.
  3. Click Update.

  • Renaming updates the label used going forward in pick lists.

  2. Click the trash icon on the row.
  3. Confirm delete in the confirmation popup.
  4. Success message: Call result deleted successfully.
  5. The result disappears from the active list.

Good to know

  • Delete is a soft delete — CallProof keeps the record so older calls, phones, and reports that used it stay intact.
  • Deleted results no longer appear in the Call Results list for normal use.

Where Call Results are used =

Place How they appear
Make Call / Softcall After a call, reps choose a Call Result before saving the outcome.
Call History (/calls/all/) Results show on Web call rows; filters can include Result.
Manual / custom reports Some reports can include or group by recorded call results.

Typical workflow

  1. Open /call_results/.
  2. Review the default list.
  3. Add Call Result for any outcomes your team needs (for example “Left SMS” or “Callback Tomorrow”).
  4. Ask reps to select a Call Result at the end of each softcall.
  5. Managers: delete unused labels so the dropdown stays short and clear.

Tips and important notes

  • Call Results are outcome labels, not the call recordings themselves (see Call History / Recorded Calls for recordings).
  • Keep names short and consistent so reports stay useful.
  • Prefer shared company language (everyone uses the same “Set Appointment” label).
  • If Save says already exists, pick a slightly different name or edit the existing one.
  • Deleting does not erase historical call data that already used that result.

Need help?

  • No call results found: add your first result, or ask a manager if defaults were removed
  • Cannot delete: only managers can delete
  • Already exists: rename or edit the existing result
  • Result missing on softcall: confirm it was not deleted and refresh the call screen
