After you create account types, your team uses them across CallProof:
- When adding or editing an Account, choose an Account Type.
- Filter accounts by Account Type in search.
- Limit Event Forms to certain Account Types.
- Use Account Type in reports, opportunities, and related filters.
- Icons help users recognize types quickly on lists and maps (where shown).
Tips and important notes
- In the product UI this screen is called Account Types; the web address uses
/contact_types/. - Keep names clear and consistent (for example: Lead, Client, Prospect).
- Always set a sensible default type before deleting old types.
- Deleting a type is serious: it can remove all accounts of that type.
- If delete options are missing, you may not have delete-account permission.
- Icon uploads support JPG, PNG, and SVG only.
- Duplicate names are not allowed for the same company.
- Quick Links on this page help you jump to Accounts, Import, Export, and related tools.
