Opportunity Types

Viewing Opportunity Types

Each level in the funnel is an Opportunity Type. These can be customized to match current company progressions of a deal as it moves along the sales process.

Opportunity Types Index

Navigation: Sales → Opportunity Types

1. Log in to your CallProof account.
2. From the main navigation bar, hover over Sales.
3. Click Opportunity Types.
4. The Opportunity Types page opens.
5. View the list of available opportunity types.
6. The page displays all configured opportunity types and their details.

Adding an Opportunity Type

Add Types

Navigation: Sales → Opportunity Types

1. Log in to your CallProof account as a manager.
2. From the main navigation bar, hover over Sales.
3. Select Opportunity Types.
4. The Opportunity Types page opens and displays the list of existing opportunity types.
5. Click the Add Type button.
6. The Add Opportunity Type page opens.
7. Enter the Opportunity Type name (up to 64 characters).
8. Click the Save button.
9. A confirmation message appears, and the new opportunity type is added successfully.
10. The new opportunity type is available in the Opportunity Type list when users add or edit opportunities.

Notes

• Only managers can add opportunity types.
• You can also access the Opportunity Types page from the Opportunities or Current Funnel page by clicking the Opportunity Types link in the right sidebar.

Edit Opportunity Types

To add a new level to the funnel, click ADD TYPE near the top right of the main info pane. This will load the edit Opportunity screen allowing the user to create a new type and adjust the colors. Click on Opportunity Name, Opp FG, Opp BG, Funnel FG, Funnel BG or the notepad to edit the opportunity type. Position can be used to move levels up and down the funnel. Clicking the red X will remove the opportunity type. Callproof will ask the user to confirm this selection.

Edit Opportunity Types

Navigation: Sales → Opportunity Types

1. Log in to your CallProof account as a manager.
2. From the main navigation bar, hover over Sales.
3. Select Opportunity Types.
4. The Opportunity Types page opens and displays the list of existing opportunity types.
5. Locate the opportunity type that you want to edit.
6. Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the opportunity type.
7. The Edit Opportunity Type page opens.
8. Update the Opportunity Type name (up to 64 characters).
9. Click the Save button.
10. A confirmation message appears, and the opportunity type is updated successfully.
11. The updated opportunity type is available in the Opportunity Type list when users add or edit opportunities.

Notes

• Only managers can edit opportunity types.
• You can also access the Opportunity Types page from the Opportunities or Current Funnel page by clicking the Opportunity Types link in the right sidebar.

Deleting an Opportunity Type

Opportunity Types Delete

Navigation: Sales → Opportunity Types

1. Log in to your CallProof account as a manager.
2. From the main navigation bar, hover over Sales.
3. Select Opportunity Types.
4. The Opportunity Types page opens and displays the list of existing opportunity types.
5. Locate the opportunity type that you want to delete.
6. Click the Delete (X) icon next to the opportunity type.
7. A confirmation message appears.
8. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
9. A confirmation message appears, and the opportunity type is deleted successfully.
10. The opportunity type is removed from the Opportunity Types list and is no longer available in the Opportunity Type dropdown when users add or edit opportunities.

Notes

• Only managers can delete opportunity types.
• You can also access the Opportunity Types page from the Opportunities or Current Funnel page by clicking the Opportunity Types link in the right sidebar.
• Before deleting an opportunity type, ensure it is no longer required for reporting or existing opportunities.
