Path: Callproof Support - New Website - Settings Menu
Site Settings
- Event Forms (New Web) - Create and manage custom forms for visits, calls, and other business activities. Forms can capture checklists, scores, notes, and images; send email notifications; award points; optionally create a follow-up task; limit by Account Type; support after-call forms; and post results to a webhook. Managers create and manage templates. Reps can fill forms on contacts and view entries. Example: A Closed Deal form completed by sales representatives after closing an opportunity. Key settings: form name, notification emails, points, Treat As (Appointment / Webinar / None), Schedule Task, Send Email Copy to Rep, Prefill previous answers, Limit Account Types, Hide, Remove Link, After-call flag, Post-back URL/secret/method.
- Custom Fields (New Web) - User-defined fields added to contact records. They appear on contact create/edit screens and can be used in contact search and filters. Types include text, select, radio, multi-select, date, image, and auto-calculated fields. Options can carry point values. The same definitions can also be attached to Event Forms. Manager-only for this admin screen. Example: Competitor currently used, or ERP customer number, on every contact. Key settings: name, type, required, lock, hide on checkout, options and points, order. Note: This admin screen is contact-focused. It is not a generic editor for every object type.
- Contact Types (New Web) - Account Types (code still says contact types). User-defined account categories used to organize and search contacts/accounts, such as Client, Lead, Prospect, Other, or custom types. Each type can have an icon, order, and a default type. Used in filters, maps, reports, and Event Form Limit Account Types. Example: Label accounts as Prospect vs Client so reps and managers can filter pipelines. Key settings: name, image/icon, default type, position/order. When People Tab is on, navigation may show Accounts instead of Contacts; types still work the same way.
- Titles (New Web) - User-defined titles for company employees and reps (stored on the user profile), such as Sales, Owner, Rep, Other. A title can optionally link to a Custom Account Menu and a Places Category list. Example: Title Outside Sales linked to a custom account menu for field reps. Key settings: name, image, linked Contact Menu List, linked Places Category List. Important: This is not the free-text job title on a person under an account. For people-under-account role labels, use Roles.
- Markets (New Web) - User-defined named markets/territories used to group sales coverage. Managers assign users to markets, and in retail setups can assign dealer stores. Markets drive filters on dashboards, reports, leaderboards, call history, Event Form entries, and related features by market membership — not by contact zip geography. Example: Market Southeast with reps Alice and Bob assigned; managers filter activity to that market. Key settings: market name, soft delete, user assignments, store assignments; market manager user flag affects access behavior.
- Role (New Web) - Shown only when People Tab is enabled. Manager-only. Lets managers define role labels such as Manager, Buyer, or Decision Maker used on people/personnel under Accounts when People Tab is on, and for Role filters on Contacts/Accounts search. These are not login or permission roles. Example: Tag a person at Acme Corp as Decision Maker and filter accounts by that role. Key settings: role name (company-scoped).
- Regions (New Web) - Lets a company define geographic territories by state, city, county, and zip codes, and assign reps to those territories so account/contact lists and related features can be scoped by region. Contact search applies region filters using region zip codes against contact zip. Example: Region North Texas with selected zips; assigned reps see contacts in those zips, subject to manager / market manager / just-my-events rules. Key settings: region name, state/city/county selections, zip list, user assignments.
Phone Settings
- Caller ID (New Web) - Activate New CallerID (New Web) Menu may say Set Caller ID in the database; New Web often shows Activate New Caller ID. Verify a phone number with Twilio so outbound soft calls can show that Caller ID. You can also set a default phone, add a rep phone, remove a verified ID, and use store phones for dealers. Available to logged-in users when Voice is enabled. Example: Rep verifies their cell so CallProof outbound calls show that number. Key options: select phone, submit to validate, set default phone, new rep phone, remove Caller ID.
- Phone Numbers (New Web) - My Phone Numbers (New Web) Manage company Twilio numbers: list, buy, edit, forward, voicemail, SMS and missed-call notifications, deactivate or delete. Needs Twilio phone number permission. Delete may need a separate delete permission. If the company has no Twilio, this menu item can rewrite to Request VOIP and open the support form. Example: Buy a local number, forward it to a rep, and enable after-hours voicemail. Key options: name or campaign, forward to user/store/number/SIP/call center, voicemail upload or record, missed-call emails, Autotext link, purchase search.
- Call Results (New Web) - Edit Call Result Options (New Web) Company list of outcomes used after a call, such as Left Voice Mail, Set Appointment, Closed Deal, Wrong Number, or Not Interested. Used on the soft-call wrap-up form and in reporting. Login required. Delete is manager-only. Menu visibility may still be manager-limited by company menu settings. Example: Add Spoke to Gatekeeper so reps can log that outcome and reports can group by it. Key options: result name, add, edit, delete. Defaults are created for new companies.
- Call Overrides (New Web) - Call Overrides (New Web) URL: /calls/overrides/ Manually map a phone number to the correct account or contact phone so call history stays attached to the right record. Overrides can be created from Call History when a number is unknown or mislinked. Login required. Often used by managers. Example: An inbound number matched the wrong contact. Create an override to Acme’s main line so history is correct. Key options: list overrides by account and number, delete override, create from call history.
- Autotext (New Web) - Set-Up Auto Text (New Web) Missed-call automation for store or company numbers: greeting recording, auto SMS to the caller, voicemail and SMS email recipients, and optional Twilio number assignment. Login required for list and edit. Delete needs manager plus Twilio phone permissions. Number purchase needs Twilio active. Example: Missed call plays a greeting, texts We’ll call you back, and emails the voicemail to the sales manager. Key options: store and phone, get or purchase number, manage greeting, VM emails, SMS templates (short message length), SMS recipient emails.
